Khyber-Pakhtun Khwa (Kpk) is province of Pakistan. Peshawar is capital of Kpk. Mainly pakhtuns are live in Kpk. Kpk culture, tradition and norm are very different from other regions of Pakistan. There is no clear thought about its origion and pakhtuns are very curious about their history and origin. Some thoughts relate them to Khalid Bin Waleed so they might have had an Arabic origin. Pakhtuns are Muslims and are very impressive to their religion.

This province of Pakistan is full of blessings of God. As par my friend from Pakistan who met me while we were enjoying Guadalupe river tubing. He said that This province has many fruit gardens and dry fruit gardens. Apples of this region are very famous around Pakistan. They drink fresh milk and eat fresh fruits. Dry fruit are served as snack. They eat less spicy food, roasted meat or BBQ are famous food. Chapli kabab of Peshawar are very famous. They take qehwa after every meal which increases the metabolic rate and helps in digestion; qehwa is called Peshawari chaye (Peshawari Tea).

The folk music is very famous in this region. Rubab and Mangai are Pakhtuns musical instruments. They dance in circle moving one foot at front and other at back than bend and clap and turn around. This is their tradional and cultural dance style.

They wear shalwar kameez and pakhtun hat (which has embroidery on sometimes a mirror work on it). Women wear pakhtun frock and shalwar hat along with dupatta. Ladies also wear handmade jewelry which is famous around Pakistan.

Pakhtuns are very hostile people they entertain their guests by offering them different and wide range of food. They set their food not on dining table but on floor. They set meal sheet (dasterkhawan) on floor and decorate it with food. They don’t start food until their eiders don’t set with them and firstly serve them than they start to pour in their plates.
